I've always been a writer. Unfortunately, I've never had the time to sit down and gather my thoughts. After finishing my MA in 2022 I decided that I had enjoyed writing again. And here we are...
To be honest there is a lot of research, a lot of reading and a lot of idea gathering!
And planning.... lots and lots of planning. This may be the only 9 books I ever write and I want to make each one the most successful.
Who is Jessica Flint? What is the Kings Smyth Association? Where is Weeping Willow Farm?
Answers to these questions and many more coming soon in my first novel.
When do I expect to start publishing - probably the far side of 2024. But there are connections between the books that will become apparent as we go along. It's like we've all jumped onto the same river boat and we'll see where it takes us!
And here we are.
this is our journey
As the weeks unfold, and the characters gain in strength and abilities, you are invited to join me on this journey.
Imagine a boat. It has oars and we are meandering along, gazing at the shore and admiring the view. The water is cool, refreshing, and all you want to do it trail your fingers in it as laps against the side. Yet you do not put your fingers in the water.
Before we got on the boat, you saw a sign that stated ‘dangers ahead’ but there was no indication of what kind or when we would encounter them. Now our trip has taken on an uneasy feeling.
Welcome to my world…
Words are Keys
Words are keys to new worlds. They open doors to all kinds of imagined landscapes and adventures.
Here is my key to you.
Now let me help you open that door...
What set me on this course? It was one evening not long after Christmas 2022, I was chatting with my son and this book idea started filling our conversation. Characters introduced themselves, plots thickened and time raced on, we said goodbye to some new friends and embraced others.
- There would always be something mundane and unfulfilling waiting to use up my precious time
- Realising that there was never going to be a good enough time to just sit down and start writing again
- I hugged my family but declared that I would need some quiet time to do this
- I deleted games, apps and social media off my phone and out of my life
- I started to write...

After finishing my Masters in Art History in 2022, I found myself at a crossroads. A new beginning. Was I supposed to carry on with my education? Or was the next step starting a PhD or look towards setting up online art courses. During a much needed break from my quite intense studies last year, I began to find that the research element of my Masters course had…
